Create a Poppy Place

There are five steps to creating a Poppy Place:

  1. Identify a possible Poppy Place and contact the owning authority to make the initial request to the Trust

  2. The Trust verifies the proposal and assigns approval, or declines the proposal. The authority is advised.

  3. The authority writes the story about the Poppy Place and passes it to the Trust

  4. The Trust shares the story by publishing on its web site.  The authority is encouraged to do the same on its own web site.

  5. The authority installs the poppy sign and may mark the occasion by commemorating and publicising the event.  The trust can publish any commemoration information. This is important as part of the future history of the place.
